| Line a few Cowboy boots to use as festive Western gift bags. In Arizona my family uses these as Christmas 'stockings'. These are very easy to make -- as they can be simple or as loaded with embellishments as you want. I've embellished son Stephen's boot liner with his name, suede with bell fringe, and an trio of embroidered horses from the PFAFF embroidery card #300. The second liner is equally as gussied up with fringe, ribbons and beads. MATERIALS: For each boot liner you need a square of fabric (denim is good) 18" X 18". 1/2 yard fringe or deaded trim -- I used both Star Rhinestones or other glitters Aleene's Jewel-It Vanishing Glue Stabilizer for the embroidery |

| DIRECTIONS: These liners fit into the top of the boot and drape over the top cuff of the boot. Think of a sock with a cuff turned over -- bobbie-sock style. Plan your embellishments or embroider to fit the side/top of this cuff. Do your embroidery and/or embellishments before you sew up the side and bottom seam. Finishing: Fold the square in half with right sides together sew the bag alone the bottom and one side. Finish up any detail by hand. |
