| BOOK Notes and Corrections: All written and illustrated instructions are presented, in good faith, with as much attention to detail and correct information as is possible. But, alas, errors can be found in the best of books and magazines. Here are the corrections or clarifications -- as they are discovered in "Slice 'em and Dice 'em Quilts". I hope I'll have no need to add to the list! Please note under MATERIALS that fabric quantities are calculated for 42" - 44" widths. I've taught these techniques to, literally, thousands of workshop participants...and have found some new fabrics coming in as wide as only 39". I would estimate my own fabrics as, possibly, requireing one extra strip if I found such a narrow width in my stash. And, YES, I do have one special Step in several of the quilt where I suggest using a 1/8th seam allowance. Nancy Brenan Daniel, Update April 10, 2006 LATTICE QUILT - Page 43 Under 'Scrap Technique': It's true that a 1/8 yard piece will do the job...but if you buy only a 1/8 yard piece -- and wash it -- it will probably shrink just enough to make it useless. Buy a bit more - 1/4 yard. Sue, from Florida, caught another mis-print. In Step 1. you will need to make more than one strip set to be able to cut the 20 sub units. May 1, 2007 TRIP AROUND THE SCRAP BASKET - Page 51 The illustrations under 'Diagram 1' should all be marked 3 1/2". GOOD GRIEF...wasn't anyone looking at the illustration when they zapped it? SPRING BASKETS - Page 60 They lost the '3' off the 3 1/2" measurement again in Diagram 1 and 2. AUTUMN STARS - Pages 71- 74 Page 71. Cut: 3 orange squares (for triangles), 11.75" X 11.75" Page 72.
